Questions:
What was the first song you ever wrote, and where did you write it? The first real song that we wrote was a song called "Rain", and it was recorded on our first independent record, "Boomerang". We wrote the song at home in our upstairs room on a really cheap little keyboard. What was the first record that you bought? The first record that we listened to over and over again was a record called "1958". The record was part of a collection of tapes that were categorized buy years, starting at 1954 and going through 1964. At first we only had that one tape, but since then we have collected the whole set. Isaac, what was your first guitar? My first guitar? Well the very first guitar that I got was a small classical guitar for Christmas one year. I don't remember how old I was, but I was between eight and eleven years old. I never really played that guitar, just banged on it. Not too long ago I tried to play it, but it doesn't stay in tune. The real playing started when I got a Gidson Les Paul look alike from a local pawn shop, along with a small 35 watt amp. I was fourteen. Isaac, do you still have your first guitar? Yes. I still have both my first classical and electric guitar. When and where was your first show? There is a yearly arts festival in Tulsa, OK (our Hometown) called "Mayfest". It was there at Mayfest in 1992 that we did our first thirty-minute show, completely a cappella. Zac, what was your first drum set? My first drum set was a 1960's Ludwig four pieces. The drum set was a friend's who had it from high school, and had kept it in the attic for years. I asked him if I could use it and he lent it to me. The finish was like the Ringo Starr set, with the blue and silver pearl pattern.
